Stay On Mission did not begin as a book.
It began as survival.
During a season of loss, uncertainty, and deep personal refinement, Rod found himself clinging to Scripture in a way he never had before. What started as quiet, early-morning time in God’s Word became short reflections he sent by text message to a handful of friends. There was no plan to publish. No agenda. Only a desire to keep his own heart anchored to truth.
The messages spread. Five friends became fifty. Fifty became more than a hundred. Today, twelve separate text groups and over 150 people begin their mornings grounded in Scripture through these simple reflections.
Those daily field notes became Stay On Mission.
This 365-day devotional is a disciplined, expositional walk through the New Testament designed for men and women who live, lead, and serve under pressure. Each day takes less than two minutes to read but is designed to anchor the entire day in biblical truth.
Every entry is built on four commitments:
• Proclaim the gospel clearly — Christ crucified, risen, reigning, and returning
• Remain rooted in Scripture — letting the text set the agenda
• Handle truth with reverence — writing only after sitting beneath the Word
• Stir both seeker and saint toward faithful obedience
This is not a collection of inspirational thoughts. It is a year-long campaign through God’s Word for people who refuse to drift from the mission God has given them.
